April 2008

Good results in the latest edition of EL PAÍS 2008 WINE YEARBOOK. All the wines received a mark and the following comment was added: “ The white wines from Mas Comtal are a faithful reflection of careful work. Both Pomell de Blancs and Petrea, fermented in casks, are wines that convey a wide range of aromas when oxygenating in the glass. It is best to pour Petrea into a decanter in order for it to be more expressive when imbibed. The rosé is an intense wine, with red fruity aromas and flavours that are very pleasant and attractive. The red wines are delicious and Petrea stands out for its power and complexity. It should also be decanted to appreciate the complex matured aromas, as well as the spicy and balsamic touches. In general, they are peculiar and attractive wines”.
