The sweet wines of Mas Comtal are fortified wines, the result of a project that began with the 1993 harvest, coinciding with the beginning of the new stage of the family estate.
They are sweet wines, made from the merlot variety, vinified following the methodology of elaboration of fortified fortified fortified wines; the must has been left to ferment partially and then fortified with wine alcohol in the same barrel for aging.
On an annual basis, small quantities are produced and aged in 225 liter barrels following the “Solera and criadera” system. This is why we speak of a 1993 Vintage wine.
Bottled in 50cl bottles with glass stopper.
