Mas Comtal Brut Reserva
Unlike all the sparkling wines protected in the DO cava (artificial region that includes almost all of Catalonia wine and small “islands” where there is a producer: Requena, Valencia, Rioja, Navarra or Extremadura), our sparkling wines are produced in a certain region.
So, let’s talk about a wine with a second fermentation, a blend of xarel.lo with chardonnay. Xarel.lo of the oldest vineyards on the estate; between 60 and 80 years old.
Vinification: Traditional method. Secondary fermentation in bottle.
Aging: A minimum of 15 months.
For drinking throughout the meal from appetizers to desserts. Goes perfectly with appetizers, smoked meats, sausage, fish, shellfish, etc. Pairs perfectly with meat in general and particularly roast, and unquestionably a good accompaniment for salads.
Pale straw yellow with golden and bright reflections. Very fine and persistent bubbles. Notes of fresh fruit and dried herbs on the nose. Fresh, fruity and good acidity on the palate.
Alcohol content: 12% vol.
Total tartaric acidity: 6.6 g/l
Total sulphur dioxide: 88 mg/L
Varieties: 60% Xarel·lo and 40% Chardonnay
